Unlike the extremely difficult 2017, 2018 was a balanced year, with well-timed rainfall and ideal weather conditions. The summer was hot, yet still punctuated by cool nights, allowing the grapes to ripen gradually and with complexity.
The work done each year in the vineyard has truly begun to bear fruit, with increasingly smooth and silky tannins. This is perhaps the first year in which our Sangiovese has truly begun to display the character we've always sought: fruity, supple, powerful, aromatic, and savory wines.

The Cabernet also bore fruit, with intense aromas of dark fruit, power and smooth tannins, giving wines that have moved from the monumental dimension of previous vintages to a more complex and articulated dimension.
