The most important thing is the vineyard: it provides the vision and continuity. Grapes have unique personalities, and each one must be interpreted differently. My job is to destroy as little as possible of the raw materials nature provides me and to bring as much of the fruit's potential into the bottle as possible.<\/p>

Alex Burge is the Managing Director of Tenuta Cappellina and the man with the vision to transform Tenuta Cappellina into a sustainable, organic and award-winning winery. Alex is bilingual, speaking perfect Italian and English, which is not surprising considering he comes from English and Dutch parents who raised him in Sicily before returning to the UK to study at Cambridge.<\/p>

His professional career then took him to Bordeaux, where he spent several years as a n\u00e9gociant in the wine industry, working with many of the leading wine brands, before returning to his native Italy to manage the sales and marketing departments in a number of well-known wineries.<\/p>
